Bridge City’s “World Famous” gumbo is cooked daily at the festival grounds, and over 2,000 gallons of both seafood and chicken/sausage gumbo will be prepared during the festival.
A variety of other native Louisiana fare such as jambalaya, New Orleans-style red beans and rice with sausage, hamburgers, hot dogs, fried seafood, homemade cakes and candies, funnel cakes and many other delicious surprises will also be available.

With previous talented acts such as Nashville South, The Boogie Men, Kayla Woodson, and Louisiana Spice among many others in years past, the 2023 Gumbo Festival lineup will be one for the history books! This festival will be full of music from different genres suitable for many musical interests.

Every year, the Gumbo Festival prides itself in providing the best local rides, games and other attractions. Thrill-seeking attendees can take advantage of the pay-one-price bracelets, and permit unlimited rides for that particular day/night. There is a suitable amount of rides for kids and adults.

Child
Contest
& Raffles

Parents are encouraged to enter their child into this year's Beautiful Child Contest! Girls twelve years or younger and boys five years or younger are eligible to participate. Dress code is "Sunday Best." Female winners will receive crown, banner and trophy. Male winners receive a scepter, banner and trophy. Admission to the contest is $5. There will be a raffle drawing that will select one $500 winner Saturday and Sunday.
